• Mike has over 30 years experience in the telecommunications industry, including outside plant operations, maintenance and repair center operations, and outside plant damage prevention and fiber protection.

• He has been a featured speaker at several national conferences. His presentations have been focused on damage prevention and investigation.

• Mike has taught this damage investigation workshop several times, and received rave reviews for his teaching techniques and his focus on information you can put to work.

• Mike’s most recent experience with Qwest Communication, (and formerly U S WEST) was as the Regional Damage Prevention Manager responsible for fiber optic protection and cable damage prevention.

• In addition to the above duties, Mike represented the telephone industry on several state one-call boards in the Pacific Northwest region, as well as the company representative to the National Telecommunications Damage Prevention Council, and industry trade group focused on reducing outages to critical telecommunications infrastructure.
